📣 Buffalo Open Coffee Club, New York Starters Coalition, and Buffalo Comedy Collective have joined forces to host a night of improv, laughter, and creativity in celebration of entrepreneurship.

Join us for a high-energy, collaborative evening that blends entrepreneurship, improv comedy, and community connection. Designed to spark creativity and confidence, Right to Start: Laughing brings founders, supporters, and curious community members together for laughs, learning, and meaningful networking - in the heart of a Buffalo winter.

Expect a fast-paced, laughter-filled program featuring Slide Deck Karaoke and a Small Business Comedy mini-session, facilitated by professional comedians. Volunteer entrepreneurs will jump on stage to pitch a surprise slide deck they’ve never seen before - quirky, mismatched, and delightfully bizarre - followed by candid, comedic conversations with local business owners about the real highs and lows of building something from scratch.

Whether you’re pitching, watching, or just connecting with others, this event is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and fun.

What is Slide Deck Karaoke? Facilitated by comedian and entrepreneur Scott Wojtanik, Slide Deck Karaoke challenges entrepreneurs to think on their feet and have fun while doing it. Participants are given a completely unfamiliar slide deck, often quirky, mismatched, or delightfully bizarre,  and must deliver a pitch as if it were their own.

The result? A powerful, playful way to sharpen storytelling abilities, strengthen pitch skills, boost confidence, and learn to communicate the heart of a business clearly and creatively under pressure.
